How to Warm Up Your Email List with Batch Scheduling #

This guide explains how to warm up your email list using batch scheduling, a technique that ensures your emails get delivered and avoid spam filters.

Do you have a small list (under 1,000 subscribers)?

  1. Skip Batch Scheduling: If you have a brand new list with only a few subscribers (4-10 people), you can send your email campaign directly without batch scheduling.

Do you have a larger list (over 1,000 subscribers)?

  1. Prepare Your Email: Create your email newsletter and ensure everything is ready to send.
  2. Schedule in Batches:
    • Go to the “batch schedule” option in your email marketing platform.
    • Set the scheduled send time for a few minutes after you finish preparing the email (e.g., 5 minutes later). This ensures the scheduling happens after you finalize everything.
    • Choose a specific date and time for the email campaign.
  3. Batch Size and Frequency:
    • For a list of 1,000 subscribers, send emails in batches of 25-50 recipients.
    • Repeat sending these batches every hour (or every two hours depending on your results).
  4. Monitor Analytics:
    • Track your email analytics after sending the campaign.
    • Ideally, you want to see a close to 100% delivery rate.
  5. Gradually Increase Batch Size:
    • Based on your analytics, if the previous batch size worked well (high delivery rate), gradually increase the batch size in future campaigns (e.g., from 25 to 50 per batch).

Remember:

  • Batch scheduling is most beneficial when migrating from another platform or when you have a large existing list.
  • Continuously monitor your analytics and adjust your batch size and frequency based on your results.
